Welcome to Threads of Change.

Thank you for stopping by and joining me on this thinking journey — one shaped by research, experience, and a deep commitment to improving Early Years practice. My passions for EYFS, school and setting improvement, ethical leadership and SEND might look like separate strands to some, but for me they have become 33 years of woven threads: ideas, decisions, challenges and successes that have formed the tapestry of my work.

A former Headteacher — now a dear friend — once told me, “Emma, you’ve got a lot of great things to say about education. You need to get shouting about them.”

This blog is my way of doing just that: sharing thinking shaped by research, grounded in practice, and dedicated to the threads of change that make a lasting difference.
